10:05am Thursday 21st February 2008 in Melksham By Charley Morgan
LUNCHTIME music concerts have struck up again in Melksham with a piano recital held last Thursday.
The free concerts are on at the Rachel Fowler Centre in Market Place every other Thursday and run from 12.30pm-1.15pm.
On St Valentine's Day the first concert of the new season began with a piano recital by Sue Law.
The centre has a Bechstein grand piano that was donated last year by a lady who used to perform in the free concerts.
Although entry is free there is a plate on the door for donations and refreshments including tea, coffee and soup with a roll are provided for £1.
The concerts will continue every fortnight until about July when there is a short summer break before resuming in September.
The next concert will be on February 28 when Diane Gibb (contralto) will be singing with Sue Law accompanying her.
