SECURITY camera images of a knife-wielding robber who held up a Melksham store have been released by police.
This CCTV image shows a man holding a large knife, which he used to threaten staff at the Co-operative store in Pembroke Road at about 9.50pm on Friday.
A white man, described as being between 16 and 18 years old entered the store and demanded the staff member hand over money.
When case was handed over, the offender ran out of the store in the direction of Queensway Chapel.
He was wearing a grey hooded top with Georgetown' written across the front.
He had dark coloured tracksuit bottoms which had vertical white stripes running down the edges of the legs and a small horizontal stripe a quarter of the way up the leg.
He is described by police as being about 5ft 10ins tall and had a bandana covering his mouth and nose which had a red and white design.
Wiltshire Police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them on 0845 408 7000.
Detective Constable Richard Jones said: "This is a particularly nasty offence and thankfully no one was injured but staff were left very shaken up after the ordeal.
"Crimes of this nature will not be tolerated and I would like to hear from anyone who can identify the man described or who has any information which might assist the investigation.
"I would like to reassure the public that this type of crime is very unusual in Wiltshire. "
