Cider festival and fun day fundraiser planned

A fun day and cider festival will raise money for Dorothy House this Saturday from noon.

The event at The West End Inn, Semington Road, is in memory of Rowland ‘Rowly’ Boys, who lost his battle with cancer early last year aged 31.

A group of his friends have vowed to hold a fundraiser each year to raise money for charities that supported Mr Boys and his family, with this event in aid of Dorothy House Hospice.

During the day there will be bouncy castles, children’s entertainment, face painting, a barbecue and hog roast, ice creams, a DJ and lots of cider.

Live music in the evening is being provided by local bands El Nino and Broken Silence.
