HSBC marking century in Trowbridge
4:00pm Friday 8th March 2013 in Trowbridge
To mark 100 years of HSBC being in Trowbridge the branch would like to hear from customers with memories of banking in the town.
The branch, which opened as the Midland, in Church Walk, on July 22, 1913, moved to Fore Street, where it is still based today, on May 7, 1917.
To mark their centenary, the branch plans to hold a celebration in July.
Branch manager Bill Gray said: “We’d love to get as many customers involved as possible and any ideas are welcome. I’d also like any former staff to come forward and share their memories.”
Mr Gray said old pictures of the branch would also be gratefully received for a display showing its changes over the years. If you can help, email billgray@hsbc.co.uk

If I recall correctly, there was rather a long queue which moved quite quickly. After successfuly taking care of business, I left the building without photographing it and went to buy a pie.
