A pupil at The Mead Primary School has won a competition to have her logo printed on Clarendon Academy’s new environmentally friendly car.

Phoebe Adams, a Year 5 student at the Hilperton school, was awarded with the trophy for the best entry and her logo will be printed on the front of the car.

The car is being entered as part of the Green Power Challenge competition supported by the Education Trust.

Students across the UK have been invited to help their school design and build an environmentally-friendly car.

Gareth Box, a creative design teacher at the Clarendon Academy said: “Phoebe’s entry was very well made and showed good creative skills, which were exactly what we were looking for in this competition.”

Mr Box added that the finishing touches are being made to the car at the moment and he hopes it will be ready to race next year.
