With love this Valentine’s ... from a Trowbridge author
A Trowbridge author hopes her new novel will provide a Valentine’s Day thrill.
Liz Fielding, of Silver Meadows, has written more than 60 Mills and Boon romances during her career and her new release, For His Eyes Only, follows the exploits of estate agent Natasha Gordon and her attempts to woo artist Darius Hadley.
Miss Gordon attempts to sell the artist’s ancestral home and in writing the book Miss Fielding took inspiration for the character’s home from Great Chalfield Manor, near Bradford on Avon.
Miss Fielding, who started writing 20 years ago, said: “I’m well known for writing romantic novels and my latest release continues that trend. It fits in perfectly with Valentine’s season and it would make a nice gift to go with the box of chocolates and flowers.”
The book, published by Harlequin, Mills & Boon, is available as a download and the paperback is on sale at the end of the month.
Before becoming a writer, Miss Fielding worked as senior secretary travelling to Africa and the Middle East.
She said: “I had always dabbled with writing and I had some children’s stories published on Listen with Mother. I then submitted my first book, An Image of You, to Mills & Boon and they supported me through with editorial help. I’ve had contracts with them ever since.
“I still thoroughly enjoy it and have many ideas. Having ideas is actually the least of a writer’s worries, it is getting the time to do them.”
About two years ago, Miss Fielding moved to Trow- bridge from Wales with her husband John Allsopp. The couple have two grown-up children Wil and Amy.
The writer is a member of the south west’s Romantic Novelists’ Association regularly meeting fellow authors.
