Great Western Railway puffs in to Bulkington next week, as the village’s popular train rides are back for the bank holiday.

The 1,000ft Great Bulkington Railway will be installed near to the village hall on Easter Monday. Then children of all ages can ride the three miniature hand-built steam engines.

Retired British Airways flight engineer Nev Boulton owns and arranges the railway.

He said: “We have got a new steam train coming this year, a Great Western tank engine, a beautiful model.

“It’s always great to see the kids come down and enjoy the trains. We just have to pray for good weather now.”

The railways will be open from 1 to 4.30pm. For more information contact Mr Boulton on 01380 828101.
