Former aircraft engineer Neville Boulton and his wife Thelma have a model way of entertaining youngsters at Easter – trips on a miniature railway around the garden of their Bulkington home.

Each Easter Bank Holiday the couple, helped by fellow railway enthusiasts, operate the ‘Great Bulkington Railway’.

The steam and electric powered engines run on a 1,000ft line which even includes a 40ft tunnel.

Drivers were David Wood, Mick Richardson and David Clarke, while Mike and Claire Richardson took care of catering, and more than 170 passengers were carried on the day.

Mr Boulton and fellow members of the West Wiltshire Society of Model Makers put on train rides at events throughout the year in aid of charity.
