A modelling competition at Trowbridge Civic Centre to support individuality and raise awareness of charity Stand Against Violence proved a big success.

The inaugural Future Faces competition, organised by events business Cow Parsley, was open to teenagers, with winners in two age categories.

The aspiring models all had catwalk training and a photo shoot with David McGirr Photography, and took part in a Stand Against Violence workshop with the charity’s Warminster-based founder Adam Fouracre.

A fashion show was then put on by the teenagers to finish off the event, with entertainment from local musician Jet Luckhurst and students from Just So Dance in Westbury.

The judging panel declared Rebekka Thomas, 15, from Trowbridge, and Jade Padam, 17, from Calne, the overall winners, while Lucy Jackson, 14, from Westbury, and Kelly Leggat, 17, from Trowbridge, won the audience awards.

The winners each received an engraved picture frame, a full photo shoot and large print from David McGirr Photography of Warminster, as well as one month’s membership for Castle Place Leisure Centre.
