Man injured in footpath attack

A MAN was punched in the face during a late-night assault on a footpath in Trowbridge.
The victim suffered eye injuries after being attacked by two men near Drynham Road at about 11.10pm on January 10.
The offenders initially asked the man for a light but after obliging, he was hit in the right eye by one of the men before the pair ran off.
Both men are described as being white and in their teens. One was about 5ft 8in tall and wearing a hoodie.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault to call Trowbridge Police on 0845 4087000.
