Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after a wheelchair user was robbed in Trowbridge yesterday.

A 24-year-old local man was travelling through the alleyway leading to Shaftesbury Court from Manor Road at about 2pm yesterday when he was approached by a man who threatened him.

The thief stole his bum bag containing cash and ran off towards Shaftesbury Court.

The victim was shaken by the incident but was not injured.

The offender is described as of mixed race, about 22 years old and of medium build.

He was around 5'0-5'11 in height with black short curly hair and was wearing black clothing.

DC Justine Wilkinson said: "The despicable and callous actions of this man have left the victim feeling shaken and vulnerable.

"I hope that the community will be similiarly disgusted and assist us in helping to identify the suspect."
