Art and design students from Wiltshire College once again transformed an empty shop in the Shires Shopping Centre into a thriving exhibition space as part of Trowbridge in Bloom.

Nineteen Level 3 Extended Diploma students, based at the Trowbridge campus, were judged on their independent projects by judges; art and design consultant Chris Kent, Liz Machin and Emily Crane from Fabric Magic, president of the Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce Colin Kay and Trowbridge in Bloom committee member Paul Hamel.

Helen Chivers, programme leader for Level 3 art and design, said: “It is wonderful to be part of the community. The students are able to showcase their work and there was a bit of pressure for it to look great.

“It has been a learning experience for them to participate as a group and collaborate.

Chair of Trowbridge in Bloom, Jennifer Polledri said: “The students are amazing young people who embraced the concept of Trowbridge in Bloom through excellent presentation and professionalism.”
