A Trowbridge man who is charged with carrying out a serious assault in the run up to Christmas faces a trial.
Saleem Ayoub, 22, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Ayoub, of St Nicholas Close, is said to have carried out the assault on Monday, December 23.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Tuesday, October 7, and released Ayoub on bail until then.
