BIKE Workshop Trowbridge will officially open in Duke Street on Saturday at 10.30am, giving members of the public the chance to buy recycled bikes.
Police in Trowbridge and Melksham have agreed to hand over their old scrap bikes from found property to the organisation. The bikes will then be refurbished and serviced before being sold on.
Bike Workshop Trowbridge is linked to the charity Julian House and all profits go directly to the charity which helps combat homelessness in the local area.
Chris Chammings, Sector Inspector for Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon, said: “This initiative allows us to hand the bikes over to a local organisation who are raising money for a very relevant charity. I hope the arrangement can make a huge difference to our communities.”
