CUMBERWELL Park Golf Club captain Martin Cooper continued his year of fundraising with a cycling challenge incorporating his love of golf.
Mr Cooper, 61, of Trowbridge set off from Cumberwell on Monday and cycled around nine Wiltshire golf courses, playing one hole at each, before returning to his club to play nine holes.
He was joined by three other riders and cycled 40 miles to raise money for the Cancer Care Campaign at the RUH in Bath and Breast Cancer Campaign, after his wife Sue was diagnosed with cancer.
He said: “It was a great day and there was a terrific reception when we got back. It was great fun changing our shoes, playing a hole at each golf course then changing to cycling shoes.”
He is half-way through his year of fundraising and has reached just under £9,000.
