Police investigating the death of a man found lying in a field by a member of the public in Trowbridge on Saturday have named him as Jess MacDonagh, 42, of Studley Rise, Trowbridge.
Police and paramedics attended on Saturday, after the discovery after 7.30pm, but Mr MacDonagh was declared dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination has been carried out and the results of toxicology reports are awaited.
At this stage police say the cause of death is undetermined.
Mr MacDonagh’s family has been informed by police.
