A fundraising weekend to help a charity which has struggled to get outside support for has raised more than £1,200.
Held at the Red Admiral pub in Hilperton over the Bank Holiday weekend, activities included a bouncy castle, a charity car wash, face painting, barbecue and giant garden games.
The money raised will go towards West Wilts Special Needs Activity Scheme, a two-week summer play scheme for children with special needs who live or attend school in West Wiltshire.
It needs to raise £15,000 annually to provide activities such as art and craft, music, and messy play, visits from entertainers and magicians, and day trips out.
Manager Luke Buckle said: “It was a big success. The snail racing and hot dog eating competition went down really well.”
