A scratch choir is being launched in Trowbridge tonight, inspired by the BBC's The Choir, hosted by Gareth Malone.
Those taking part in weekly workshops from 7.30-9.30pm will learn songs from around the world, suggested by project participants from Poland, The Caribbean, Africa and Italy along with some traditional Wessex songs.
After four weeks of rehearsals at Trowbridge Town Hall the choir will perform at the Around the World Concert on October 18 at Holy Trinity Church as part of Trowbridge Arts Festival and during Black History Month celebrations.
The four workshops will be led by Candy Verney and there will be singers from her Sounding it Out choir helping.
Tickets for four workshops are £12, free for children aged 10 to 16, and can be bought online, over the counter at Trowbridge Tourist Information Centre, or on the door.

Concert tickets will be £7 for adults and free for children aged 10 to 16.
