A charity race night held at The Farmhouse pub in Southwick to raise money for the Children’s Hospice South West raised just over £1,500.
More than 60 punters placed bets.
The event, on October 3, was organised by Carlene Robinson, an events officer at Wiltshire Council. She chose the charity after it supported her nephew Connor and his family through his battle with cancer.
The 12-year-old, who attended Clarendon Academy, died in 2011 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
