School friends of former Trowbridge Wanderers player Chris Penelhum are raising money for the charity that helped support him in his battle with cancer.
The 30-year-old father of one from Trowbridge died in April 2013, a year after being diagnosed with testicular cancer.
To keep his memory and passion for football alive Dave Kemmery, who attended John of Gaunt in Trowbridge with Mr Penelhum, is organising a charity football match to raise money for testicular cancer charity, It’s in the Bag.
Squads of 15 will be dusting off their football boots to play against the group of testicular cancer survivors who run the charity.
The event is being held at Warminster Town FC Ground on October 26 at noon and admission is a £2 donation. There will be a tea hut, burgers and a charity raffle as well.
