Art students from Wiltshire College have been using Trowbridge Town Hall as inspiration to produce work for their portfolio over the past two weeks.

This is the second year the collaboration has taken place, with 60 students studying the Art and Design Foundation course at Trowbridge College involved in the project.

The town hall is being brought back into public use by the Trowbridge Town Hall Trust as a centre for culture, community and enterprise.

Director and trustee Laura Pictor said: “This kind of link is exactly what we want. The town hall was built for the community in a time when the town thrived from being at the forefront of the country’s wool and textile trade.

“It seems apt that the building is providing inspiration and space to students as they start out on their careers in the creative industries.”
