New appeal over arson attack

POLICE are making a renewed appeal for witnesses to an arson attack in the lead up to its one-year anniversary.

On March 15, last year, a BMW was set alight outside a house in College Road, Trowbridge.

The heat from the fire caused windows to smash leaving the family inside petrified.

The incident happened at 5.05am and police are asking anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area in the early hours of the morning.

Pc Pete Tuite, who was the first officer on the scene, said: "The incident was fully investigated with house to house visits at the time. Unfortunately there was no CCTV.

"What we're hoping with this new appeal is that we'll jog someone's memory. This is our last ditch attempt."

Anyone with information should contact Pc Tuite on (0845) 4087000 or anonymously on Crimestoppers on (0800) 555111.
