Police plea after iron bar attack

POLICE today appealed for help in tracking down two youths who attacked a 17-year-old boy with an iron bar.
The attack happened close to Newtown Primary School in Trowbridge on Saturday night as the offenders tried to steal the victim's ipod.
After pushing the boy several times, one of the attackers hit him on the leg with an iron bar before the victim managed to stagger to safety.
One of the offenders was white, the second was black. Police are appealing for witnesses to call 0845 408 7000.
