A MIDDLE-AGED man attacked with a bottle in a Trowbridge supermarket car park could be scarred for life, police fear.

The victim, believed to be from Bradford on Avon, was attacked with a Vodka bottle as he sat in a car at the Tesco Express store in Eastbourne Road just after 12am today.

Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested by police, but the woman has since been released from custody.

Police are yet to quiz the man about the incident, but he is under arrest on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.

Scenes of crime officers were expected to visit the scene of the attack today and will examine a silver Escort which the victim was sat in.

The victim was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath with severe cuts to his face, but has since been released.
