THE plans for Bradford on Avon’s Historic Core Zone (HCZ) were deferred from the Area Board meeting on Wednesday.

At last month’s full council meeting, proposals were made for minor adjustments to the promotional leaflet which will be used to publicise the new pedestrian-led traffic signals.

Cllr John Thomson, deputy leader of Wiltshire Council, is now reviewing the leaflet.

Once it has been approved, a schedule will be put in place to ensure there is enough time for a public consultation and the town poll, which could happen as early as January next year.

Cllr Thomson had agreed to fund the HCZ leaflet, its distribution and exhibition materials costing £2,886.

The HCZ plans will now be discussed at the next area board meeting on January 7.
