A group of teenagers who want to help people affected by the Ebola crisis have held a fundraising event.
The members of Z Club – part of Zion Baptist Church in Union Street, Trowbridge – decided to hold a Bake and Brew.
Group member Vicky said: “We decided to raise money for the Ebola crisis appeal because it has affected so many different people.”
Members of the church community rallied round to make cakes and support the event which raised more than £100.
Heather Skull, head of youth work at Zion, said: “We’re really grateful to everyone who turned up to eat cake and who made such generous donations to the appeal.”
The money will be sent to the Ebola Crisis Appeal being organised by the faith-based charity Us (formerly USPG) which works in Africa, as well as Asia and South America.
