Trowbridge Lions Club is appealing for help to find a new home for its Christmas float again, just two years after the fundraising sleigh was last left without somewhere to be stored.
The club starts its Christmas door-to-door collection in Trowbridge with Santa and his sleigh from the start of December, with the collection regarded as the club’s main fundraising event of the year.
The club has to vacate the garage where the sleigh is kept when not being used at the end of the year, when the current owner of its current home in Alderton Way, Trowbridge, moves.
It is not the first time the club has had to put out a plea for a new home – the Wiltshire Times helped to find the sleigh a new home in 2012, after a reader came forward and offered their garage. Contact Peter Cook on 01225 763840 or e-mail peter@jpwcook.com
