Tribute gigs held in memory of legendary Trowbridge landlord Alan ‘Peewee’ Hunt raised the roof at the Village Pump last month, with hundreds turning out to show their support.
Peewee lost his battle with cancer in September and died before friends and family, including his son Elliot Sykes, had finished organising gigs intended to benefit his final months.
So Elliot and friends Mark Eden and Phil Cooper decided to arrange two gigs at the Village Pump to pay tribute, with the events on November 20 and 29 raising over £400 for the Cancer Unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Mark said: “The turnout was really good. It was a fitting tribute to Peewee and worked really well in the Village Pump venue. We have talked about doing it again.”
