Hundreds of children took part in a lantern parade as part of the Friends of North Bradley School’s magical winter wonderland event at the school on Friday.
The procession was led by characters from Disney’s hit film Frozen and went around the village, before stopping on The Common, where there was carol singing and an opportunity for people to give donations.
The event also a performance from the school’s own Glee Club and hot food, with all money raised going to an outdoor classroom.
Jackie Stocker, co-chair of The Friends of North Bradley School, said: “It was absolutely brilliant and we were completely overwhelmed by the response. We’re not completely sure on the final total yet, but we think it is around £1,400, which is wonderful.”
