From a distance this could be any other newsagent or kiosk selling anything from chocolate to kids' toys.

But with 'coalition and credit Crunchie' confectionary and DIY starter kits made from teabags, the kiosk is a 14-year work by Bradford on Avon graphic designer Jeff Pigott along with Julia Warin.

On show are products created by the duo - most of which are not for sale - but which aim to raise a wry eyebrow over the current financial climate.

“We have a whole range of products under the recession brand,” said Mr Pigott.

”There is a tape measure that is called an austerity measure and there’s a pair of secateurs for public spending cuts."

The kiosk is on show at Trowbridge Town hall ar part of an contemporary art exhibition that finishes on Saturday.
