HUNDREDS of friends and family of teenager Chad McVeigh who died with two friends in a car crash on the West Wiltshire Trading Estate are expected at his funeral next Monday.

The service will be held at All Saints' Church, Westbury, at 10.30am followed by a wake at the Angel Inn.

His family ask mourners to wear smart casual clothes.

Chad, 18, of Oldfield Road, Westbury, grew up in the town and was a pupil at Westbury Infants School.

He completed his education with the On Track education service.

Chad and friends Nathan Cox and Jordan Taylor, who were both 20 and lived in Trowbridge, died when their silver Citroen Saxo hit a parked lorry in Quartermaster Road on the West Wiltshire Trading Estate in Westbury at about 10.30pm on December 4.

His mum Hayley, dad Nick and sisters Chantelle, 20, Charley, 19, and Shania, 15, have been devastated by the death of the boy known to many as a loveable rogue.

The family have been upset by police press releases which said Chad was from Devizes as he only lived in the town for a short while just before his death but had returned home by the time he died.
