The son of popular Trowbridge stonemason Noel Morgan is expecting hundreds to turn out for his father’s funeral, which is due to take place at the United Church Trowbridge at 11am next Friday.

Mr Morgan died at the Royal United Hospital in Bath on December 28, aged 55.

He ran architectural stone casting and mould making business Longfield Stone for more than 20 years.

His son Noel Jr said: “We are expecting a massive turnout and I imagine we will have hundreds of people come along to pay their respects as he was so well known in the town.”

The funeral is family flowers only, with donations welcomed towards a memorial. There will also be a wake after the service, although the venue is still being set.
