TWO Frome men have been taken to hospital after their car collided with a tree in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident occurred on the A361, Firs Hill, Trowbridge, at 12.42am on January 18 when the silver Vauxhall Corsa they were in left the road when negotiating a right hand bend.

The car went into a ditch before colliding with a tree and landing back in the middle of the road on its roof.

The driver, in his mid-twenties, was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head and neck.

The passenger, also in his mid-twenties, was taken to hospital suffering with minor injuries to his neck and back.

The road was closed for several hours.
