A six-week course run by Alzheimer’s Support can help those caring for people with any type and stage of dementia.
Experts lead sessions on subjects including what is dementia, ideas for managing problems at home, safer moving and assisting and the legal and financial aspects of caring.
Alzheimer’s Support chief executive Anna Littlechild said: “The feedback we get from these courses is amazingly positive.
“People gain a much greater understanding of what the person they are caring for may be experiencing, and pick up invaluable tips for how to support them and how to look after themselves.
“Just meeting others in a similar situation can be helpful and carers often continue to get together informally after the course has ended.”
The course starts at Trowbridge Rugby Club on February 19. To find out more or to book, contact 01225 776481.
