Trips to the cinema have become easier on the wallet for one Trowbridge woman after her dramatic weight loss enabled her to fit in to regular seats.

Jane Kosky, of Dove- cote Close, said she used to have to pay extra for premier seats when she visited the cinema as she was unable to sit in the regular seats at her heaviest weight – almost 24 stone.

However, since joining the Hilperton Weight Watchers group two years ago, the 31-year-old has lost an incredible seven stone and is now six dress sizes smaller.

Miss Kosky, who works as a property manager, is not finished yet, though, and is now stepping up her exercise regime and attending six fitness classes a week in a bid to achieve her final goal, to slim down further to 13 stone.

She said: “I’ve always been big, but when I finally joined Weight Watchers in February 2013, I was enormous.

“It had just got to the point where I was so unhappy that I had to do something.

“When I used to go to the cinema, I couldn’t fit in the regular seats and I would always pay a bit more for premier.

“It wasn’t something that I really thought about at the time, but now it’s just embarrassing.

“Everyone has been massively supportive at the group from the very first meeting.

“No one judged me even when I got on the scales that first time and was appalled by the number staring back at me.

“Each week, I text my mum and my group of close friends, as soon as I’ve weighed. They love getting my texts and everyone I know is so supportive it has made me more motivated.”

Miss Kosky said her friends had noticed a huge difference in her confidence since she’d started losing weight.

She added: “As I started losing weight, I also stepped up my exercise regime and my health and fitness, as well as my body shape, has massively changed.

“I am fitter now than I’ve ever been and I’m actually starting to enjoy clothes shopping.

“But it’s not just my health that has changed, a lot of people have commented on how my personality has changed for the better – I am so much more confident than I ever used to be.”
