A TROWBRIDGE man has been jailed after being caught with drugs, cash and a phone, which had a large number of messages on it showing his involvement with drug dealing.

Joshua Edwards, 24, of Drynham Park, Trowbridge, was sentenced to 16 months in prison yesterday at Swindon Crown Court for possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Officers from Wiltshire Police stopped Edwards on June 11 last year as he was acting in a suspicious manner around Tesco Express, Eastbourne Road, Trowbridge.

It was found that he was in possession of a small amount of herbal cannabis, £530 in cash and a phone.

He pleaded guilty at court on yesterday to possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
