WILTSHIRE College students have set a target of running, rowing and cycling the distance of Trowbridge to Paris to raise money for Cancer Research this month.
The five Sport students – Conor O’Rourke, Michael Lister, Tom Phillips, Evander Sampson and Connor McPherson – will set off on a treadmill outside the Wiltshire College Trowbridge reception at 7.30am on April 22 and will take it in turns to cover the 397 miles.
The group have set themselves a target of £100 and as well as touring the Trowbridge campus with donation buckets on the day, they have also set up a JustGiving page which has raised £30 so far.
Conor, 19, said: “We are all sport students looking to challenge each other and raise money for Cancer Research, a charity that means so much to a lot of our family members.
“We are going to split the journey from Trowbridge to Dover on the treadmill, Dover to Calais on a rowing machine and Calais to Paris on an exercise bike.”
