On Saturday 16 May 2015 at 7.30 p.m. in Trinity Church, Trowbridge the choir, under the directorship of Ruth McKibbin and together with soloists and orchestra, will perform the popular Requiem by Gabrielle Fauré. Also will be a work by the American composer Morten Lauridsen, Lux Aeterna. This has not been heard in the West of England for some years. In 2006 Lauridsen received the National Medal of Arts from the President of the USA “for his composition of radiant choral works combining musical beauty, power and spiritual depth that have thrilled audiences worldwide”.
