TROWBRIDGE couple Charlene Senwick and Martin Coates are celebrating the arrival of their newborn boy Jaxon, after he was delivered at Trowbridge Birthing Centre.

Despite arriving five days after his due date, Miss Senwick said the birth went very smoothly, delivering last Thursday (Aug 6) after having contractions since Tuesday (Aug 4).

The couple, who have been together for 10 years, also have two other children, Kobi, eight, and Lacey, seven, and said they have both been very attentive since the arrival of their new brother.

Miss Senwick, 29, said: “Jaxon arrived five days after his due date, but it was nice and calm and it seemed like it was just us in the birthing centre. I was having contractions since Tuesday.

“The whole pregnancy was pretty smooth really and it was probably the easiest of all three. I had cravings when I had the other two, but nothing this time around.

“The nurses were fantastic from day one and I know how overworked they are, but they did a brilliant job. I also had my first at Trowbridge and I really cannot fault them.”

Miss Senwick, who works in children’s social care with her husband, 33, said they had a novel way of choosing the name, after falling in love with the name Jaxon from their favourite TV series Sons of Anarchy.

“We watch quite a lot of box sets and Sons of Anarchy is one of our favourites, so we got the name from that. The middle name Lee is my brother’s name.

“We have had lots of visitors since the birth and all of our family is over the moon. He has been really good since he came home and sleeping through the night, which means we are all well rested.

“Our other two children are both doting on him and while they are happy to fight with each other, when it comes to him they are completely overwhelmed.”
