TROWBRIDGE club West Wilts Esprit Gymnastics will be holding an anniversary celebration event in October to mark the first year at its new home in White Horse Business Park.

The club, which has coached Olympic and Commonwealth athletes for 40 years, was previously situated at Clarendon Academy in Frome Road, before moving to its new home last year.

Bob and Yvonne Brice founded the community sports club, which has evolved from an after-school activity to a competitive British Gymnastics registered club.

The anniversary event, which will take place from 12.30pm-5.30pm on October 3, will include opportunities for visitors to try out different types of gymnastics as well as a performance from the club’s own gymnasts.

Coaching administrator Zoe Copper said: “We are celebrating the first year of us being at our permanent home and there will be lots of taster sessions for people to try the different disciplines.

“Visitors will also have the chance to see our gymnasts in action, while there will be a barbecue, a raffle and other competitions during the day.”
