EXPERT advice for people recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes will be on hand in Trowbridge on Tuesday.

The Type 2 Together event will be held at Trowbridge Town Hall from 7.30pm-9.30pm, with further events taking place across Wiltshire.

These are aimed at helping people who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and to provide them with essential information they need to live well with condition.

A dietician will provide information on living well with the condition, while visitors will also be able to find out further information on avoiding health complications associated with diabetes.

Graham Cooper, local groups development officer said: “There are around 21,000 people living with Type 2 diabetes in Wiltshire and we know that being diagnosed with the condition can have a life-changing effect on people, and their families.

“There is a lot of information to take in, particularly at the time of diagnosis, so these events are a great way to get detailed expert advice in an easy-to-digest way, as well as being an opportunity to meet other people living with Type 2 diabetes.

“We hope the Type 2 Together event will give people with Type 2 diabetes in Trowbridge the information and confidence they need to live well with the condition.”
