PUPILS from The Mead Community Primary School in Hilperton and Wingfield will be taking part in a charity Christmas concert in Bath Abbey next week.

The Mead Young Voices choir have been practicing hard for next Wednesday’s performance which will bring together up to 800 festive men, women and children to the Sing! concert all in aid of raising money for The National Osteoporosis Society.

Hosted by Fiona Fullerton, the concert will mark the first time that the primary school children have performed at the event which begins at 7.30pm.

Jo Ferris, head of fundraising at the National Osteoporosis Society, said: “It is really fantastic to see Sing! return to Bath Abbey for its fifth year, and we’re proud to welcome The Mead Young Voices to the evening. It promises to be the perfect way to start the festive season.”

Visitors will be treated to a joyful evening full of music and fun which will include performances by the Bath Chorus, the Bath Male Choir, Mead Young Voices and the Norland College Choir.

The Norland College students are also bringing their British Sign Language Choir who will sign one of the songs on the night.

Tickets for Wednesday’s concert are available from Bath Box Office on 01225 463362 or online at www.bathboxoffice.org.uk. All proceeds raised will go to the National Osteoporosis Society.
