TROWBRIDGE boxer Nick Blackwell has tweeted for the first time since suffering a bleed on his skull last month and has thanked fans for their ongoing support.
The 25-year-old was placed in an induced coma following his British middleweight title defeat to Chris Eubank Jr at Wembley Arena on March 26.
Today, the boxer tweeted his thanks for fans as well as reassuring many that he is on the road to recovery.
He tweeted: “Just want to say a massive thank you for all the support and messages means the world too me I'm on the mend now so I've been very lucky.”

The town and the rest of the country rallied together in the days following the fight, which saw Sheffield middleweight boxer Adam Etches set up a Crowdfunding page, which raised close to £12,000, to support the Trowbridge star.
Nick added: “And a massive thank you too everyone who raised money for me it's been overwhelming.”
