FORENSIC teams have been working at the Central Store in Wyke Road, Hilperton this morning after thieves smashed their way in to steal cigarettes.
It is understood they smashed the windows with concrete blocks to gain entry between 9pm on Wednesday (June 8) and 5.30am on Thursday (June 9).
Cigarettes to an unknown value were taken.
PC Mark Hough said: "We are at the early stages of the investigation and enquiries are ongoing into this incident.
“We would like to appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of Wyke Road overnight to please get in touch.”
