A MAN who was caught with heroin and cocaine which he was going to supply has been remanded in custody by a judge.

Kareen Smiri had an array of class A drugs on him when he was arrested on Lamplighters Walk, Trowbridge, on January 26.

Now the 23-year-old, who was on early release after being jailed in 2014 for similar matters, has been told he is facing the prospect of a further prison term.

Smiri, of Hollis Way, Southwick, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

He also admitted possessing criminal property after he was found with £452.45 in cash when he was arrested.

Jason Taylor, defending, said "He is in custody. He has a previous similar conviction. He was recalled and he knows that there will be a significant custodial sentence."

Judge Peter Blair QC adjourned the case to July 7 and remanded him in custody until then.

Smiri was jailed for three years in June 2014 after he was caught with thousands of pounds worth of heroin and cocaine.

He was first caught when police stopped a Vauxhall Astra in Frome Road, Trowbridge, in the early hours and he tried to run off, dumping a rucksack as he went.

In it police found 61 wraps of heroin and 110 of crack cocaine which were worth about £2,320 as well as £300 cash.

He was released on bail after denying dealing but was arrested again a few months later with nine wraps of crack and 36 of heroin, worth £540, in his underwear.
