MORE than 10 cars were damaged in one Trowbridge road yesterday evening.

Police were called to Dursley Road just after 10pm after receiving reports that two men, believed to be in their late teens, were seen to be pulling and kicking wing mirrors off cars.

They were seen to run off onto County Way.

Some of the damaged vehicles include:

• A blue Peugeot 307

• A silver Honda Civic

• A white Peugeot Partner

• A silver Audi A3

• A white Skoda Citigo

• A white Peugeot Expert

• A red Fiat 500

• A black Land Rover

• A silver Vauxhall Vectra

Police are now looking to hear from anyone in the area at the time.

PC Mark Hough said: “This was a completely mindless act of vandalism which has no doubt caused distress to the owners of the vehicles. Whoever is responsible has not only caused a financial impact to their victims, but may have also prevented some of them from being able to get out and about today.

“Some vehicles were scratched down the sides, while some had their wing mirrors kicked off.

“An extensive investigation is being carried out, including house-to-house enquiries. I’d like to appeal to anyone who had a vehicle parked in the area last night who believes they may have been a victim to please contact police if you have not already done so.

“I’d also like to appeal to anyone who may have information on who is responsible to contact police immediately via 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
