BEER lovers were in for a treat on Saturday as Box Steam Brewery combined food, music and their award-winning craft beers for their annual festival.
BoxFest, now in its second year, saw hundreds of people descend into the centre of Holt where their family-owned brewery is based to enjoy the free event which built on the success of last year’s inaugural festival.
The family-friendly day featured live bands, a bar, local food and other stalls, as well as plenty of things to keep the kids happy while visitors enjoy a pint.
Andy Roberts, managing director of Box Steam Brewery, said: “We’re all so glad that our second BoxFest was a huge success. It was a great opportunity to get to know everyone in the local community and thankfully enjoy some sunshine.
“As a small brewery, we appreciate the importance of our community and we are proud to be part of Wiltshire’s heritage.
“2016 was even better than last year and we were very excited to welcome the mayor of Trowbridge, Linda Self, this year. She had a fantastic day out and even had a go on the inflatable slide.
“Both years have been a huge success and the brewery are already excited to hold the event again next year.”
Across the day, the brewery also held a charity raffle to raise money for Dorothy House and Holt Community Fund.
Live music entertained crowds throughout the day including performances from Escapade, Decibelles, The Tokamaks and Rattlesnake Highway
