POLICE are asking parents to remind their children no to talk to strangers after a 12-year-old girl was approached in Trowbridge this morning.
The girl was on her way to school when she was approached by a man in a white van near to Frome Road just before 9am.
The man asked the girl if she needed anything and after responding 'no', she went on her way to school.
No offences are believed to have been committed, however, police are asking parents to remind their children of the importance of not talking to strangers.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "Please urge your child to report anything suspicious to a teacher or parent/guardian as soon as possible."
