THE Mayor of Trowbridge was 'down with the kids' when she was invited to watch children from St John's Catholic Primary School perform their own raps and poems in the Sensory Gardens.
Cllr Linda Self has supported children from the school this term, which has seen them work on a local study of Trowbridge.
Teacher Miss Moment said: "We wanted to bring Trowbridge alive for the children and so we arranged a walking trip around the town, visiting the Town Hall and Sensory Gardens. We were even treated to a peek into the Blind House. The children have loved the topic and were delighted to meet the Mayor."
Look out for the children in the Trowbridge Carnival on October 22, when they will be dressed as Box Trolls from the popular novel Here Be Monsters, which is based on Trowbridge.
