CHILDREN’S television star Gemma Hunt will be returning to her hometown of Trowbridge later this month to take park in Active Trowbridge's Fun Days.
The Trowbridge-born CBeebies presenter will be making an appearance on October 24 at Paxcroft Primary School.
The fun-filled day is open to children aged five to 12 with tickets costing £14.
Miss Hunt said: “I grew up in Trowbridge, attending Staverton Primary School and The John of Gaunt School, where I loved to play a variety of sports. At Staverton I was the only girl on the school football team, captain of the hockey team and a member of the athletics team at John of Gaunt, as well as swimming for Trowbridge ASC. I loved it.”
Miss Hunt continued to say that she is happy to be involved as an ambassador for Active Trowbridge and the work it does with the local children.
“It’s great that Active Trowbridge offers so many opportunities for children to get involved with sporting activities, using a great selection of resources. Who knows, we may have a future Olympian come through one of the projects,” she added.
